But often as working moms - especially in the military - we can feel weighed down by guilt, or feel conflicted & like we're falling short, no matter what we do.
Guilt in either putting our family first in a professional environment that expects us to always put the "mission first", or worrying we're not giving enough to our family & that they deserve more.
In the first couple years of being a mom in the military, I felt like in order to be successful in the Army, I'd have to neglect my family. And I wasn't going to accept that cost.
I didn't want my husband or children to get the leftovers of me.
